Ag Committee Scholarship

Two scholarships valued at $500 each for students pursuing a post-secondary education to be awarded by the Hall County Agricultural Society Ag Committee.

The scholarships are awarded to high school graduating seniors who are pursuing a post-secondary education. All scholarships are academic in nature. Financial need may be a consideration in the selection process but will not be the determining factor. Priority may be given to an applicant attending a Nebraska institution for higher level of secondary education and/or pursuing a program/career in agriculture/agribusiness, but applicants are not limited to these requirements.

The scholarships must be given to high school applicants living or attending school in Hall County. The scholarships will be sent directly to the college, university, or technical school upon proof of registration.

A prior scholarship awardee may apply for this scholarship after first year of completion at any accredited university, 2-4 year college, or technical school (one time only following the year of receipt). Applicant must provide proof of grades.

Deadline:
Applications MUST BE POSTMARKED or EMAILED by March 1, 2025. NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Selection Process:
Committee members will review candidates’ responses as blind applications. The top applicants will go through an interview process to determine the scholarship winners. Winners will be notified in April. The scholarship will be presented at the Ag Appreciation event during the Hall County Fair.

Eligibility:

Applicant must have a “B” average or above.
Applicant must complete the designated scholarship form.
The scholarships MUST be used at any accredited university, 2-4 year college, or technical school.
